Welcome and thank you for taking a moment to apprise yourself of my work and how it might be of benefit to you.

The province of my clinical work is primarily as a client-centered counselor in the fields of substance abuse, trauma, life transitions, family work and relationship issues, working with individuals and families in need of finding a means to create sustainable manageability and meaning in their lives. I bring with me over 18 years of excellent clinical experience in both the private practice and treatment environment.

I advance the practice of mindfulness and move towards focusing on the individual and/or family member in helping them to find solutions for each unique person and situation.

The process is collaborative, kind and supportive. The design and destination is aimed at bringing forth the best possible person that you can be in accordance with your individual circumstances, in the hopes of experiencing a more satisfying life.

Family Counseling

People that have grown up with alcohol or drug addicted partners, parents, children or they themselves are addicted experience an array of problems.  It can affect all areas of family members’ lives. You and your loved ones might notice trouble cropping up at work, at school, or in everyday interactions with other people.

When it feels like the issues in your family are too big for you to handle, it may be time to see a family therapist.

Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse

Addiction, or dependence on a particular substance or activity, is one of the most complex areas of mental health.

Individuals who find they are experiencing an addiction to drugs or alcohol often find the services of a therapist to be helpful in overcoming the addiction.

Trauma

Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event like an accident, rape, natural disaster or even growing up in a family affected by alcohol and drug abuse.

Therapy provides a safe and confidential place for a person to talk to a professional about personal experiences, thoughts, feelings, or problems. People who go to therapy may have experienced a situation that that disrupts and/or impacts his or her thinking, mood, feelings, or ability to relate to others.
